As Convergint Technologies became a one year old company, it celebrated by embracing its value of giving back to the community. On June 18th, 2002, over 100 employees participated in helping their local communities. In 2002 Convergint employees participated in: |
- Fixing up local homeless shelters in Calgary and Atlanta
- Building metal carts (similar to those you see at the races), that are used to support the children's wheel chairs behind the horse. This local youth center in Dallas helps children with physical and mental disabilities.
- Fixing the fire alarm system and A/V equipment in a local church in Kansas City
- Painting rooms and minor cabinetry work for a local youth center in Chicago that dedicates their life to youth development and family support.
- Landscaping for the local Salvation Army in Houston
- Building homes in Seattle for Habitat for Humanity
- Painting rooms for a mental health services organization in Portland
We would like to thank everyone for their enthusiastic participation and look forward to making a difference in our local communities throughout 2002!
