The Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) is a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) program that provides funding to state, local, and private-sector entities to help them protect critical port infrastructure from terrorism, enhance maritime domain awareness, improve port-wide maritime security risk management, and maintain or reestablish maritime security mitigation protocols that support port recovery and resiliency capabilities.

  • Soft targets / crowded places

  • Planning

  • Training & awareness

  • Exercises

  • Equipment & capital projects

How much funding is available?

The total funding amount is $100,000,000 divided across grant awardees.

When is the application deadline?

The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is slated to be released on Friday, May 13th. This year’s application period will be short – 30 days. The application deadline is Monday, June 13th.

Who can apply?

Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to:

  • Port authorities, facility operators, and state and local government agencies.
  • Facility operators include, but are not limited to terminal operators, ferry systems, bar/harbor pilots, and merchant’s exchanges.

Applications are open from Friday, May 13th to Monday, June 13th
