Matt Powell
Transportation Market Manager
With more than two decades of experience in the security aviation, Matt has worked in every facet of the security world–from end-user to manufacturing to integration. For more than a decade, Matt has specialized in transportation security and operations and lead Convergint Transportation Solutions Group, a team of transportation-focused sales, operations, and engineering Convergint colleagues.
Christopher has 12 years of experience in the Physical Security industry. While working on his Masters in Criminal Justice, Chris started as a Technical Support Specialist with St. John’s University Public Safety, his Alma Mater. There he became the Security Systems Manager for the University’s 6 campuses, managing the security technology program encompassing systems such as access control system, video surveillance, and traffic controls.
Since then, Chris has moved cross town and is now one of the IT Managers, specializing in physical security applications, for the largest US private airport operator at John F. Kennedy Airport in Jamaica, NY. Using his skillset acquired from St. Johns University, Christopher now manages multiple, additional systems—not limited to PSIM, analytics, IT infrastructure, and the technology components of T4’s newly redeveloped Security Operations Center.

With over 19 years of experience in the Enterprise Technology Services and Physical Security Industry, Matthew is responsible for the development and management of LenelS2 Aviation and Transpiration Vertical Strategy. Over the years, Matthew has developed and managed relationships with many large transportation projects, including mega-City transformations, large ports, and railway customers. Additionally, Matt has experience working with Retail, Food Service, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications based clients.
Matthew’s physical security industry experience comes from all three sectors: Integrator, Manufacturer, and End-User. This depth of knowledge helps create viable solutions for all customers’ challenges.
