Convergint Technologies was built on a set of principles that balance focus between customers, colleagues, and communities. Coupled with Convergint’s Values and Beliefs, colleagues are empowered to act generously and responsibly to the world around them. In a recent feature, Convergint was applauded by The Economist for giving back to the community through Social Responsibility Day and STEP Up.
Founded in 2001, Social Responsibility Day is when Convergint shuts down for a whole day to get out of the office and give back to the local communities. In addition to labor, Convergint offices and partners donate gift cards, supplies, and one full day of payroll. Over the past year, Convergint has expanded its efforts to give back by launching the STEP Up initiative. Developed to enhance security for underserved schools, Convergint provides interior and exterior security systems installations, security upgrades, and security assessments.
“Individual Convergint Technology Centers across the world have the opportunity to select causes in their own communities to support, and last year, nearly 2,500 Convergint colleagues, including family members and employees from partner organisations, volunteered at 61 organisations and schools.”

About STEP Up
Enhancing school security can provide a vital level of protection for students, faculty, and visitors. In that spirit, Convergint created its STEP Up initiative to help strengthen security in our schools. This program was launched during Convergint’s annual Social Responsibility Day. Convergint colleagues went out into their local communities and provided underserved schools with interior and exterior security systems installations, security upgrades, and security assessments.
