“School security continues to be a priority for us, and we’re in a unique position to help address some of the issues facing our underserved communities,” said Tony Varco, Vice President of Security at Convergint Technologies. “We launched our STEP Up initiative last year to be proactive about school security, and we were able to donate our time to improve conditions at 8 underserved schools. Our goal for June 7 is to spread the word about STEP Up, double the amount of participating schools, and allow our colleagues to make an impact in their neighborhoods.”

Convergint’s STEP Up programs continue to offer free resources for schools, including downloadable checklists, details on how to budget for safety enhancements, and train school personnel. For more information about free resources, visit www.convergint.com/STEPUp.
