Speakers

Rich is a respected leader cultivating public-private relationships, strategic planning and promising practices. Rich brings 36 years of public safety experience to clients across the country, including organizational leadership, agency management, national law enforcement best practices, crime reduction strategies, public policy advocacy, corporate security and expert testimony.

Rich served as Sheriff of Hennepin County, Minnesota, a large, urban metro county comprised of the City of Minneapolis and surrounding areas. He went on to serve in national leadership positions and was a senior law enforcement advisor to the Director of National Intelligence, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has previously served as Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Public Safety and Director of Homeland Security for the State of Minnesota. Rich served as an elected official in the Minnesota State House of Representatives as a Legislator. He began his career with the Minneapolis Police Department where he rose to the rank of Captain. Rich serves as a Senior Advisor for CSA.

Vice President of Strategy & Cyber, Convergint

Kevin Donegan joined Convergint as Vice President of Strategy in 2019, after retiring from the U.S. Navy as a Vice Admiral. He served as Commander of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and as Director of Operations for U.S. Central Command. In the Pentagon, he was Director of the Navy Staff and Deputy Chief of the Navy for Operations, Strategy, and Planning, where he led initiatives for accelerated learning and innovation across the Navy enterprise, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and big data management.

Joe Young joined Convergint as Vice President of Digital Transformation in 2022 with 18 years of experience across the industry, including 4 years IT MSP experience. Most recently, he led innovation and product management for a global security organization. In his role at Convergint, Joe leads his team in their mission to guide customers through the journey of digital transformation, with a focus on research, maintaining strategic alliances, and collaborative partner ecosystem management. By embracing a connected world where technology is radically changing business and everyday lives, Joe enables organizations to adapt and become digital leaders in their industries.

Kevin is a Mass Notification Integration Subject-Matter Expert and supports the Convergint national sales team. A US Navy Veteran and a 23-year veteran of the Electronic Fire & Security Integration Industry, Kevin has significant understanding of fire, security and communications systems design on multi-million-dollar projects. His expertise includes business development, consultation with architects and design firms, life safety systems coordination, developing budgets, systems integration design, and a broad knowledge of multiple mass notification systems platforms. His design experience includes large healthcare systems, higher education, corporate and industrial campuses along with state/local government facilities.

Dan Murphy is a highly accomplished security, investigations, and law enforcement professional with an outstanding 35+ year career. He is a seasoned leader, author, educator, and sought-after speaker and subject matter expert on various topics including workplace violence prevention and response program development, global security, international travel safety and security, physical security, executive protection, and financial fraud investigative techniques. He is currently serving as Principal Consultant to 360 Security Services in Minneapolis, MN.

Dan Murphy is a retired Detective-Sergeant from the New York City Police Department where he served for twenty years. His accomplishments there include 16 years as either a Detective or Detective-Sergeant serving in units such as the Narcotics Division, the Organized Crime Investigation Division, the Major Case Squad, the Bronx Gang Investigations Squad, and ultimately the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), after 9-11. His areas of expertise included Federal RICO investigations of violent gangs, kidnapping, human trafficking, bank robbery, and counterterrorism.

Dan was a first responder to the terror attacks of both February 26, 1993, and September 11, 2001 on the World Trade Center. He has also performed undercover work in Southeast Asia while working in a task force with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. After leaving the NYPD Dan worked for The Bank of New York as a Financial Crimes and Fraud Investigator, targeting possible terrorist financing schemes. Dan is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI).

Rick Kaufman

Executive Director of Community Relations and Emergency Management, Bloomington Public Schools

Rick Kaufman is responsible for directing the district’s communications, community relations, and engagement programs. He serves as chief spokesperson and communications counsel to the Superintendent, Board of Education, and the district’s leadership team. Rick manages the Emergency Operations and Recovery Plan elements, including district and school emergency response teams, training, and response efforts, as the district’s Emergency Management Director.

Jeremy Baumann is an executive and entrepreneur with more than twenty-five years of industry experience; focused on creating and executing world-class security programs that enhance the bottom line. Jeremy has a proven track record of establishing a strategic vision across people, processes, and technology, communicating effectively to stakeholders, and executing relentlessly to success.

Christian Revilla

General Manager – Corporate Security Technology, Delta Air Lines

Christian Revilla is the General Manager of Corporate Security Technology at Delta Air Lines. In this role, Christian is responsible for identifying emerging security technologies and assessing their applicability to help solve Delta’s security needs.

Christian has worked at Delta for 20 years in a variety of positions within Technical Operations, Airport Customer Service, Operations Analysis & Performance, and Corporate Security. Currently, he and his team are working to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of physical security on Delta’s campuses in Atlanta and Minneapolis, as well at 9 call centers nationwide. This includes, but is not limited to, the building of a new visitor’s center, development of an improved GSOC, introduction of a physical ID and access management system, and enhancement of physical access control measures.

Jeremy graduated from DeVry University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems focused on Database Management. He has spent 12 years in the physical security industry–all with Convergint. Jeremy started in the field and has implemented hundreds of systems, some with over 1000 cameras and card readers. He then spent 10 years as an Account Executive supporting some of Convergint’s largest and most complex Healthcare enterprise clients. Jeremy joined Convergint’s Digital Transformation team in 2022 and is responsible for helping companies navigate the technology evolution taking place in the security industry. Jeremy has a special focus in Cloud Native Technologies, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Vision.
