As part of Self Care Week and to celebrate International Men’s Mental Health Day, join Convergint at the ASIS UK–ED&I Charter event at The British Library on 14th November 2022 from 15:30 PM- 17:30 PM.

Men have historically faced specific challenges in relation to their mental health, such as isolation and high rates of male suicide. The event will discuss the key issues affecting men’s mental health within all levels of organisations. Mental health issues can affect anyone regardless of age, sex, or lifestyle and no one is immune to the risk of developing a mental health condition. Everyone is vulnerable to experiencing depression and anxiety and there should not be any shame in admitting it and getting help when necessary.

Join the ASIS UK Charter on Monday 14th November 2022 in discussion with a panel of experts from across a variety of sectors.

According to the Mental Health Foundation, updated on the 1st of October 2021, did you know that:

  • Men constitute 75% of suicides
  • Three times as many men as women die by suicide
  • Men aged 40 to 49 have the highest suicide rates in the UK
  • Men report lower levels of life satisfaction than women, according to the Government’s national well-being survey
  • Men are less likely to access psychological therapies than women: only 36% of referrals to NHS talking therapies are for men
