Kevin is a Mass Notification Integration Subject-Matter Expert and supports the Convergint national sales team. A US Navy Veteran and a 22-year veteran of the Electronic Fire & Security Integration Industry, Kevin has significant understanding of fire, security and communications systems design on multi-million-dollar projects. His expertise includes business development, consultation with architects and design firms, life safety systems coordination, developing budgets, systems integration design, and a broad knowledge of multiple mass notification systems platforms. His design experience includes large healthcare systems, higher education, corporate and industrial campuses along with state/local government facilities.

Jennifer Schwartz

For over 25 years, Jennifer Schwartz has been a noteworthy leader in the public safety communications space. Jennifer has worked in all aspects of public safety communications including contributions to national committees supporting the FCC on the Five Step Action Plan to Improve the Deployment of Next Generation 9-1-1 and directing and managing technology and operations for large public safety answering points in both Arizona and Colorado. Currently, Jennifer is the operations manager for the City and County of Denver Department of Safety, Denver 9-1-1. She also sits on the Board for the State of Colorado 911 Managers, Health and Human Services, and for the International Association of City and County Managers. Jennifer holds a degree in Public Administration with a focus on Community Development from Central Michigan University and she is a student at the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law with a focus on Human Rights Law. She is also a Certified Public Management graduate from Arizona State University and a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.

Dan Murphy is a retired Detective-Sergeant from the New York City Police Department where he served for twenty years. His accomplishments there include 16 years as either a Detective or Detective-Sergeant serving in units such as the Narcotics Division, the Organized Crime Investigation Division, the Major Case Squad, the Bronx Gang Investigations Squad, and ultimately the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), after 9-11. His areas of expertise included Federal RICO investigations of violent gangs, kidnapping, human trafficking, bank robbery, and counterterrorism. Dan has received numerous awards for outstanding patrol and detective work including the 2003 National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) TOP COP Award, given by John Walsh of “America’s Most Wanted” in Washington, DC. Dan was a first responder to the terror attacks of both February 26, 1993, and September 11, 2001 on the World Trade Center. He has also performed undercover work in Southeast Asia while working in a task force with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. After leaving the NYPD Dan worked for The Bank of New York as a Financial Crimes and Fraud Investigator, targeting possible terrorist financing schemes. Dan is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI).

Steve has been serving the public sector market(s) for over 20 years with emphasis on physical security solutions and technologies, strategy, planning and connecting thought leaders for collaboration and best practice. He has been instrumental in the growth of public and private/small and large organizations. His unique leadership style brings together the full suite of companies, colleagues, partners, influencers and stakeholders to collaborate and realize potential. Currently, Steve serves the Western United States with SLED (State, County, City, University, K-12, UL2050 Defense Contractors) vertical market Business Development programs at Convergint – Sales Strategy, Marketing, Resource Alignment, Contract Vehicles, Manufacturer Partnerships and Colleague Collaboration. Steve is a key liaison to the Convergint SLED Team, Advanced Solutions Teams for Public Transportation and Smart Cities, the full array of SLED Team resources for Procurement avenues and Convergint Technology Centers throughout the West. He is called upon for making things happen, getting things done and driving positive energy into the process. Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Elon College in Corporate Communications and has completed studies at the University of Denver in support of Masters in Applied Communications.
