The DOJ Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) has announced the application deadline for the 2021 School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP) funding opportunity. The SVPP is a competitive grant program that provides funding directly to the following agencies to be used to improve security at schools and on school grounds:

  • States

  • Units of local government

  • Indigenous tribes and their public agencies

The deadline to apply for this funding opportunity has been announced for June 22, 2021. Up to $53 million is available for this year’s program.
