Convergint Technologies puts a strong focus on upgrading school security, especially those in underserved communities. As part of the 17th annual Social Responsibility Day, eight schools across the country received security upgrades and landscaping beautification for the STEP Up initiative.  Additionally, Convergint is offering a security checklist, available online, that lists out all of the important elements to consider for school safety checks.

Convergint colleagues volunteered their time and materials at Winston Elementary School in San Antonio, TX. They updated and fixed the security and intercom systems and cleaned up the campus. This project was featured by Fox San Antonio. Read the full story below.

About STEP Up

Enhancing school security can provide a vital level of protection for students, faculty, and visitors. In that spirit, Convergint created its STEP Up initiative to help strengthen security in our schools. This program was launched during Convergint’s annual Social Responsibility Day. Convergint colleagues went out into their local communities and provided underserved schools with interior and exterior security systems installations, security upgrades, and security assessments.
