Terry Taylor

Director of Facilities 

For 38+ years, Terry Taylor has been an educational facility management professional. Currently, Terry is Director of Facilities for Gresham-Barlow SD, where he is completing a construction bond project of over $340m focused on creating a safe learning environment for the students and staff in the GBSD. Terry created construction standards for all major systems with a specific focus on low voltage and operational functions for Access Control, Video Camera Management, Intrusion alarms, Fire Alarms, Intercom system, DDC and HVAC units as well as structured cabling. This focus is to reduce labor hours maintaining multiple systems with limited staff.

Russell has spent a career in public service. After four years in the United States Air Force, Russell joined the Schertz Police Department before being accepted into the Texas Department of Safety Academy. For 25 years, Russell served the Texas DPS including State Trooper, Narcotics Trafficking, Investigations and Counter-Terrorism. His evolution continued with security leadership responsibilities at Austin Community College Police District and, currently, as Director of Security at Leander ISD.

Chairman, Partner Alliance Safer Schools

Guy has worked in the security field for 35 years. He served for over three decades as the Director of Security and Emergency planning for Littleton Public Schools, a suburb of Denver, Colorado before retiring in August 2020. Guy was recognized as the 2020 Campus Safety Director of the Year for his work at Littleton Public Schools. Currently, Guy serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (http://passk12.org/) and as the Strategic Safety and Security advisor for the Innovative institute for Fan Experience (www.iifx.org). Guy is also the recipient of many other national and security industry awards and recognitions including:

  • Security Magazines Most Influential People in Security
  • The 2014 American Red Cross Century of Heroes award
  • Security Industry Association (SIA) Insightful Practitioner Award
  • NSCA 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award

Steve has been serving the K12 Education market for over 20 years with emphasis on security technologies, strategy, planning and connecting thought leaders for collaboration and best practice. Currently, Steve serves the Western United States with SLED (State, County, City, University, K-12, UL2050 Defense Contractors) vertical market Business Development programs at Convergint Technologies – Sales Strategy, Marketing, Resource Alignment, Contract Vehicles, Manufacturer Partnerships and Colleague Collaboration. Steve is a key liaison to the Convergint SLED Team, Advanced Solutions Teams for Public Transportation and Smart Cities, the full array of SLED Team resources for Procurement avenues and Convergint Technology Centers throughout the West.
