On Friday, June 10, Convergint colleagues spent the day volunteering in their local communities for Convergint’s annual Social Responsibility Day.

This year marks Convergint’s 15th anniversary, and this tradition has grown bigger and bigger with more colleagues participating every year. Convergint was founded on a set of core Values & Beliefs, which established Convergint’s commitment to our customers, our colleagues and their families, and our communities. In support of our Values & Beliefs, Convergint colleagues go into their communities and contribute to those in need.

Some of the organizations Convergint supported included:

  • Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans
  • Good Samaritan Society
  • Hull Family Services
  • Boys and Girls Club
  • Inspiration Corporation

Here’s what some of our colleagues had to say about their experience on Convergint Social Responsibility Day:

This was my first Convergint Day, and I am looking forward to years of memories from this event. We have been supporting Hull Family Services for 12 years, and it is clear the impact is real and tangible. There were many teams working on different projects on Friday, and it’s really quite amazing what about 100 people can get accomplished in a day. I am very pleased to be a part of a company that contributes so much time and effort into local causes that are truly deserving. And I’m proud to be part of a team that cares enough to participate. Convergint Day is really quite special!

Yesterday was my first Convergint day. It was a good day helping others, and my wife also came and helped. We sweated and cleaned and sweated and organized and, did I mention, sweated. Our portion of the program for the day was to organize, remodel, and make safe a storage barn. It was a good day in Houston, Texas.

– Kent Leslie, Project Specialist, Houston

Our Toronto CTC was in full force today. Colleagues gathered at Portland House to landscape the gardens and paint. It was my pleasure to give back on this important day, for our company and our community.
