At the core of Convergint’s thriving culture of service is the annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day. Since 2002 on the first Friday in June, Convergint closes for a full, paid workday so that colleagues may go out to serve in their communities through various service projects.
This year however, things will be different. While the spread of COVID-19 remains a significant risk, there is still need in the communities around us. Instead of canceling Social Responsibility Day in the wake of the pandemic, the decision was made to extend social responsibility efforts beyond just a single-day event so that smaller groups could gather at different times to complete service projects while observing social distancing mandates and prioritizing the safety of both colleagues and community members.
One of Convergint’s core Values & Beliefs is “We believe in balanced lives—family, business, community.” The goal of Social Responsibility Day in a post-COVID-19 world is to inspire unity, boost morale for colleagues, and create a lasting impact in the surrounding communities in need, helping them rebuild for a better tomorrow.
