Meet Shwetha KK, who has had a remarkable trajectory at Convergint. Starting as a CAD Engineer in 2016, she now leads a team of over 30 engineers. Shwetha’s journey is defined by her passion for nurturing talent, fostering an inclusive environment, and delivering exceptional results in every endeavour she undertakes.
Empowering growth and inclusivity
From the outset of her journey, Shwetha was struck by the sense of support that permeated the organisation. Shwetha demonstrated exceptional performance in her role as a CAD Engineer, leading to her recognition and the gradual assignment of greater responsibilities. In 2021, she was entrusted with spearheading a new initiative—the establishment of Bengaluru’s Global Design Centre. As she assumed the role of a supervisor, Shwetha made it her mission to cultivate an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to excel. Recognising the importance of inclusion and diversity in a traditionally male-dominated industry, she actively recruits and mentors female engineers providing them with the necessary support and guidance to thrive in their roles. Shwetha firmly believes in leading by example and embodies the principles of fairness, respect, and equal opportunity in her leadership style.

Global leadership and collaboration
In her role as supervisor of the Global Design Centre in Bengaluru, Shwetha oversees a diverse portfolio of regional and global projects, each presenting its unique set of challenges and opportunities. She approaches each project with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring that every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. Shwetha champions collaboration and collective triumphs, fostering a culture where teamwork and mutual support are celebrated. She encourages her team to collaborate seamlessly across departments and geographies, leveraging their combined expertise to deliver exceptional results.

Celebrating excellence and recognition
Shwetha’s commitment to excellence and her exceptional leadership skills were recognised when she was awarded the prestigious Orchid Award at Unite Bangalore 2024. The award, bestowed upon female colleagues who demonstrate exceptional drive, focus, and a can-do attitude, served as a testament to Shwetha’s dedication and passion for her work. Thrilled and humbled by the recognition, Shwetha said, “Receiving the Orchid Award was a reminder of the impact of dedication and passion. I’m honoured by the recognition and will remain committed to fostering an environment where everyone thrives”.

Balancing work and personal life
Outside of her professional endeavours, Shwetha finds joy and fulfilment in spending quality time with her family and indulging in her hobbies. Whether she’s experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or tending to her garden, Shwetha cherishes the moments that bring balance and happiness to her life.
