In a united effort to combat the alarming statistics surrounding workplace fatalities caused by falls from heights, colleagues across the United Kingdom are rallying together to participate in the No Falls Week initiative from May 13 to 17, 2024.

Falls from heights consistently rank as the leading cause of workplace fatalities in the UK, with the latest figures from the HSE revealing that 40 individuals lost their lives due to falls from height during the 2022-2023 period. This statistic accounts for 30% of all workplace deaths in the same timeframe.

The No Falls Week mission is straightforward but vital: to provide knowledge, tools, and inspiration to prevent falls and ensure the safety of every individual working at height, regardless of their industry – be it construction, manufacturing, agriculture, or any other sector.

Participants in the initiative can expect a range of engaging and informative activities designed to foster a culture of safety and prevention

Convergint encourages all its colleagues and industry peers in the UK to actively participate in No Falls Week, recognising the potential to make a substantial difference in reducing workplace fatalities. By fostering a collective commitment to safe work at height, participants aim to contribute to a safer and more secure working environment for all.

As No Falls Week gains momentum, the hope is that this initiative will spark a lasting cultural shift towards prioritising safety and ultimately lead to a significant reduction in falls from heights across the UK workforce.
