INCLUSION & DIVERSITY COUNCIL
Convergint’s Inclusion & Diversity Council serves as a working advisory body to Convergint leadership. Their purpose is to ensure diversity, equality, and accessibility are considered in strategic management initiatives, to assist in the alignment of strategic planning with I&D objectives, and to develop and support initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion.
Council Members

KATE WHEELER
Chair
Kate has been with Convergint for 13 years and has held a variety of roles in operations and sales support. She joined the SLED Team 3 years ago as a Government Contracts Administrator managing National Cooperative Contracts. Inclusion & Diversity is a deep passion for her, and she is extremely honored to have been selected as Chair of the Inclusion & Diversity Council.

KENDYLL MAYER
Council Member
Kendyll Mayer has been working for Convergint since 2015, starting in the warehouse, moving to a specialist role in 2017. Kendyll is thrilled to be a part of the I&D council and looks forward to the initiative of making Convergint an even more inclusive culture.

ANGELA BILODEAU
Council Member
Angela Bilodeau is a project coordinator at Convergint with over 14 years of experience in the insurance claim housing industry. Through this experience dealing with people in emergency situations, Angela became skilled in balancing stress and building trusting relationships. Angela is passionate about developing Convergint’s platforms, practices, and policies as part of the I&D Council.

Sergio Morales
Council Member
Sergio Morales joined Convergint as Operations Manager for South Florida in May of 2018. Sergio has over 25 years of business and technical experience in electronic security, fire alarm, life safety, and integrated building management systems. Sergio’s experience includes operational and service leadership, project management, and team building. Sergio has implemented projects in the healthcare, higher education, K-12, government, entertainment, mixed-use high-rise, and commercial office vertical markets. Sergio’s passion is to support, develop, and prepare Convergint colleagues—Convergint’s most valuable resource.

NOORI AZMI
Council Member
Noori Azmi joined Convergint in 2020 as its first dedicated Recruiter. She brings with her 10 years of recruitment experience from various industries. Though Noori graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting, she found her passion to be in Talent Acquisition and bringing people together. Noori also takes great pride in being first generation with parents from Pakistan and speaking three languages.

Alexander Wallis
Council Member
Alex Wallis has 15 years of experience leading diverse teams both in the private sector and the United States Marine Corps. Alex’s background includes experience in logistics, organizational leadership, and developing high-performing teams. Prior to joining Convergint in March of 2020, his career included global positions in consulting, sales, and operations management.

STEVE KOGER
Council Member
Steve has over 28 years of experience in law enforcement, military, professional services consulting, and project & program management in a variety of industries. Steve’s life experience includes living abroad both as a military brat and as an adult through varied professional contracts. He’s lived in Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Korea, Germany, and the UAE and has worked and traveled to over 60 countries thus far. He graduated with a degree in Organizational Development and is passionate about leadership and developing high-performing teams.

MICKEY KUHN
Council Member
Mickey has been in the Security Industry since 1999. Mickey started with Convergint in 2013 as an Administrator II & Warehouse Coordinator. Mickey is now a Project Coordinator for Convergint’s Fire, Sprinkler & Security Division at our Lake Mary. Mickey is now part of the planning committee at Convergint’s CTC, planning Breast Cancer walks, Potlucks & all activities, Mickey loves getting the Team together for some Fun & Laughter.

GREG HARDEE
Council Member
Greg has been contributing to the electronic security industry for over 32 years, serving the past 18 years as a privileged part of the Convergint SoCal team. Over the course of his career with Convergint, he has held diverse roles, ranging from installation and project management to account executive. Greg is currently leading as the Regional Safety Manager for the Southwestern offices, as well as serving as the Safety and Training Manager for the Los Angeles office. As an enduring member of the Convergint family, he remains dedicated to upholding Convergint’s DNA through its values and beliefs and advocates passionately for colleague’s safety, service to our communities and helping colleagues find work-life balance.

TERRENCE BAKER
Council Member
Terrence Baker started at Convergint on the 13th September, 2013. Terrence works out of the New York CTC. The roles that Terrence fill include Service Supervisor Banking Division, Fleet Manager, Regional Safety Champion, Regional iCare Champion–iCare trainer, Regional I&D Committee member, and Project Manager for Chase Bank retail locations. Terrence is passionate, dedicated, and an energetic person that loves the interaction with Colleagues on a daily basis. Every Sunday since February of 2014, Terrence has sent a safety message to 9 CTC’s across the nation.
Executive Leadership

YARUBA TATE
Vice President, Inclusion & Diversity
Yaruba Tate has over 20 years of experience in the industry, joining Pinkerton Systems Integration in 1999 after serving in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. Yaruba joined Convergint in 2003 and has held several key leadership roles over the span of his career, with experience in sales, finance, operations, recruiting, and team development. Yaruba now serves as Vice President of Inclusion & Diversity. In this position, he provides education and training, improves communication between leadership and colleagues, and creates programs to promote inclusion and diversity—creating safe spaces at Convergint for underrepresented groups of colleagues across the globe.
