On Friday the 9th of June, a small group of colleagues went to give back at a charity called Busses4Homeless, based in Ladbrook Grove, West London for Convergint Social Responsibility Day.
Busses4Homeless aims to provide housing and lifestyle amenities for homeless people. Originally a start-up it has now expanded, and they will be moving to a new site in Harrow, Middlesex.
A special thanks was given to Axis Communications for providing UK colleagues across the country with lunch boxes to keep the Convergint colleagues energised throughout the day.

The team met Dan the founder of Busses4Homeless in the morning where he explained about the charity, the work undertaken, and what the Convergint colleagues needed to do. The colleagues were initially tasked with breaking down seating removed from a bus so that it could be segregated and disposed of accordingly. In addition, there was overall tidying of the site, and bagging rubbish from the busses. Later on, a truck arrived to take away the seating and rubbish, which the Convergint colleagues helped to load. Painting was then done inside a bus, of the railings and poles. The busses were painted gold and already looked a lot better. Dan was very appreciative of the work done, especially given the hot conditions. The work the Convergint colleagues did would have taken one or two people a lot longer to do. After the Convergint colleagues were done for the day, Dan’s team were able to work on other aspects of refurbishment.
