Tony graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) of Troy, New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial and Management Engineering. He has spent 9 years in the physical security industry – all with Convergint. Tony was the first graduate of the Convergint Development Program in 2015. He then spent 6 years as an Account Executive supporting some of Convergint’s largest and most complex enterprise clients.

Tony joined Convergint’s Digital Transformation team in 2022 and is responsible for helping companies navigate the technology evolution taking place in the security industry. Tony has a special focus in Cloud Native Technologies, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence.

Aaron Whitaker is the founder and CEO of Preventia Security, a regional security integrator in the Southeast with 6 locations, 115+ team members and serving more than 19,000 clients across the country. Preventia was founded in 2010 in order to provide a better experience for consumers in the security space. Aaron’s background in home services gave him a logical starting point that quickly grew into serving the commercial space as well. As an early adopter of cloud video surveillance, Aaron and his team have learned all the pros and cons and worked through each of them. Preventia now services and maintains thousands of cloud cameras for clients, as well as security, cloud access control and fire systems. Aaron graduated from University of Tennessee and resides in Franklin, TN with his wife and two kids. In his spare time, you’ll find Aaron on a lake, travelling or driving a fast car.

Ken Francis

Ken Francis is the President of Eagle Eye Networks, which was listed on the “Deloitte Technology Fast 500” list for three consecutive years. Before joining Eagle Eye Networks in 2016, Francis launched ADT Security Services back into the commercial marketplace following the spinoff and IPO of ADT by Tyco International plc in 2012. Previously, Francis served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for UTC’s Global Security Products Business Unit, led the GE Security, Integrated Systems Program as the Global Product GM, and co-founded AMAG Technology, Inc. In all three roles, Francis was responsible for the growth of software-based access control and video technologies through the leadership of international product management teams and the expansion of global channels. Francis earned a BA from Florida State University and am MBA from American University. He currently serves on the Executive Council for the Board of Directors of the Security Industry Association.

Steve Lasky has been a professional journalist for 40-plus years and a 35-year veteran of the security publishing industry and a multiple-award-winning journalist. He is currently the Editorial and Conference Director for the Endeavor Business Security Media Group, the world’s largest security media entity, serving more than 2000,000 security and risk professionals in print, interactive and event platforms It includes Security Technology Executive, Security Business and Locksmith Ledger International magazines, and SecurityInfoWatch.com, the largest and most dynamic security web portal in the world (www.securityinfowatch.com).

Since early 2000 his editorial vision created the first serious buzz concerning the convergence of physical and logical security – not only from a technology standpoint, but from an enterprise business management perspective. Dealing with real issues like compliance, metrics and business drivers for security, STE magazine has become the top read for both the CSO and CISO communities.

Steve was a 26-year member of ASIS and was on the ASIS Physical Security standing committee for 9 years. He has also been instrumental in several successful peer-to-peer events including Secured Cities, SecureWorld Expos and Global Security Operations 2020 (GSO 2020) conferences. In 2007, Steve was awarded the annual Charles A. Sennewald award for Distinguished Service to the security industry by the International Association of Professional Security Consultants. Steve is in demand as a moderator and speaker at security events around the country. He is a former editor and writer with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Tampa Times.

He is a graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa and did his post-graduate work at Nicholls State University.
