In March 2023, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued a new cybersecurity amendment focusing on the cybersecurity resilience of U.S. critical infrastructure, including airports and aircraft operators. The new emergency amendment requires that TSA-regulated entities develop an approved implementation plan that describes measures they are taking to improve their cybersecurity resilience and prevent disruption to their infrastructure.

Michael Chung is a Principal Cybersecurity Consultant with Convergint and is responsible for supporting verticals in their cybersecurity programs. Michael has over 15 years of experience in the cybersecurity space built upon helping organizations implement security controls and safeguards to improve their security posture.

Michael was the former cybersecurity advisor to the National Physical Security Director at Kaiser Permanente where he worked closely with National and Regional Leadership to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards. Prior to that, he acted as a cybersecurity advisor to the Department of Energy Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence and was the technical lead for their endpoint security. Michael was also the co-lead of the Cyber Incident Response Team for the Department of Defense’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Kyle Heaton

Kyle has nearly 20 years of experience in airport public safety and security, with a focus on technologies that enhance day-to-day operations, incident management, and terminal evacuation and recovery. He has also supported the implementation and integration of numerous multi-million-dollar projects. As such, his understanding of DHS, CBP, FAA, and TSA mandates is well-honed. Kyle recently joined Convergint as the National Business Development Manager of Aviation where he leads a team with expertise in airport operations, network engineering, and program/project management. Together, the team is focused on delivering technologies and solutions that support the goals and objectives of airports on a global scale.

Alyssa Mathes has been with Convergint for 10+ years. In February of 2019, she became the global Account Executive for the Aviation Industry. Her focus is on understanding the Aviation Industry and bringing Convergint clients solutions that can help them solve their problems. Alyssa graduated with a bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pamona, with a degree in Business Administration and Management, Finance.
