At the core of Convergint’s thriving culture of service is the annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day. Since 2002, on the first Friday in June, Convergint closes for a full, paid workday so that colleagues may go out to serve in their communities through various service projects.
This year, Zenitel Americas—a leading provider of Intelligent Critical Communication Solutions— joined Convergint on its mission of giving back for Social Responsibility Day. The project consisted of intercom and IP speaker installations at strategic locations at the KC Pet Project facility, including gates, entrances, and the veterinary operating suite.
The KC Pet Project has spent a decade building a safe community for pets and people. Despite limited funding, they support thousands of families through programs like Keep ‘Em Together KC, providing veterinary care, supplies, and emergency boarding. With 40-50 new animals arriving daily, they anticipate helping nearly 15,000 pets in need this year. Their initiatives also focus on pet safety, including microchipping and identification.
Zenitel Americas donated and installed equipment included:

- 2, TCIV-2+ video door stations
- 2, ELSIR–10 ceiling mount speakers
- 1, TKIS-2 for use as an Edge server
