Culture of service on display as Convergint celebrates recent and upcoming charitable initiatives

Convergint, a global leader in service-based systems integration, today announced its colleagues donated more than $100,000 to charitable initiatives during its 17th annual conference, Unite Denver. This year’s conference provided its more than 1,500 attendees with the opportunity to raise proceeds via the company’s pop-up shop and the event’s raffle, both of which donated 100% of the proceeds. As a company built on a core foundation of Values and Beliefs, this generosity is a reflection of Convergint’s culture of giving.

Charitable initiatives at Convergint’s Unite Denver conference included:

  • The Convergint Cares Foundation: the Convergint Cares Foundation’s mission is to provide educational financial assistance to the families of US-based Convergint colleagues and further Convergint’s global social responsibility efforts supporting not-for-profit entities throughout underserved communities. Convergint Cares is a 501(c)(3).
  • Ken LaChance Colleague Emergency Fund: the fund provides limited financial assistance to eligible colleagues who are experiencing unforeseeable economic hardship due to emergency situations. The conception and creation of the Colleague Emergency Fund is dedicated to the memory and life of Ken LaChance for his contribution to Convergint and unwavering support of his colleagues.

“Our culture of service, which is at the core of everything we do at Convergint, was once again on display at Unite Denver this year,” said Laura Mueller, Chief Human Resources Officer, Convergint. “In just a few days, Convergint colleagues nearly doubled last year’s total donations, demonstrating their generosity and commitment to doing good and giving back.”

In addition to the donations made at Unite Denver, in June Convergint will hold its 22nd annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day, which is dedicated to giving colleagues the opportunity to serve the communities and charitable organizations most meaningful to them. Last year’s efforts resulted in more than $2.5 million donated from Convergint in payroll, along with more than $180,000 donated in technology and supplies for schools, non-profits, and local organizations. What’s more, Convergint’s STEP Up for Schools initiative—a program established in 2019 to help strengthen school security in underserved communities—provided free security updates at 29 schools across the U.S. during last year’s annual day of service.
