Convergint Leaders Raise Over $30,000 for the James Willis Scholarship Fund

Convergint recently held its Leaders Meeting at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida, bringing together colleagues from all over the world for three days of networking, collaboration, and leadership development. Colleagues participated in educational sessions on a variety of topics, including talent, growth, service, and culture. Of course, there was also plenty of fun and laughter, with team-building activities, and a charity raffle.

Convergint’s culture of giving is fundamental to its success as an organization. In keeping with this deep commitment to giving back, Convergint leaders were able to raise over $30,000 for the James Willis Scholarship Fund–a foundation established in memory of colleague James Willis with the mission to assist children of Convergint colleagues who plan on continuing their education through 2/4-year college or vocational school programs.

The charity raffle encouraged leaders to purchase tickets with the chance to win grand prizes for their entire teams back at their local Convergint Technology Centers, including team Fun & Laughter events, an office makeover, and more, and all proceeds were donated to the James Willis Scholarship fund. Giving back is an integral part of Convergint’s culture, underlining its commitment to making a daily difference for customers, colleagues, and the communities it serves.

The Convergint Cares Foundation has established the James Willis Scholarship in honor of Convergint colleague James “Jimmy” Willis after he lost his battle with the COVID-19 virus. The fund aims to assist children of Convergint colleagues who plan on continuing their education through 2/4-year college or vocational school programs. This program is administered by International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS), a third-party designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs.
