At the heart of Convergint’s culture of service is the annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day, when Convergint closes for a full, paid workday so that colleagues may go out to serve in their communities through various service projects.
This year, as the risk of COVID-19 has changed the way Social Responsibility Day 2020 can be held, smaller groups across Convergint are gathering at different times to coordinate service products safely within their communities. With limited options for some Convergint teams to carry out community service projects safely in person, the office in Seattle has opted to host a Food & Fund Drive for their local food bank.
About the Project
From September 28th to October 23rd, Convergint’s Seattle team will be taking food donations locally in Seattle in addition to monetary donations, all benefiting Northwest Harvest.
Due to the current landscape in the Pacific NW we are unable to gather our team “physically” for our 2020 Social Responsibility Day. It simply is not safe and would be reckless for us to do so. Our team is disappointed as we look forward to this event every year, but just because our team can’t work hand and hand in proximity does not mean we can’t impact our community. Knowing that many are out of work and struggling to pay their bills provides us an opportunity to provide some relief by collecting food and monetary donations. We are proud to support NW Harvest in this endeavor by giving back to those who need it the most!

One of Convergint’s core Values & Beliefs is “We believe in balanced lives—family, business, community.” The goal of Social Responsibility Day in a post-COVID-19 world is to inspire unity, boost morale for colleagues, and create a lasting impact in the surrounding communities in need, helping them rebuild for a better tomorrow.
Through this fundraiser, Convergint’s Seattle colleagues aim to help fight hunger in the state of Washington and give back to the people in their community.
