Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and customer service-oriented technician to join our amazing culture. The Service Technician plays a key role in servicing and supporting our customers.

To be successful in the role, you will have

  • A minimum of three years of previous, relevant Security Technician experience. 
  • Security system understanding and experience in one or more of the following systems preferred: Gallagher, Inner Range, Lenel, Genetec, Milestone. 
  • A working knowledge of electronic circuits with respect to voltage, current, and resistance and a basic understanding of IP Networking fundamentals.
  • Programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • High-level communication skills – written, oral, and liaison.
  • Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to travel locally to job sites on a regular basis. Minimal overnight travel may be required.

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • A valid WA driver’s license.
  • Have or are eligible to obtain a WA Security Installers License.
  • Have or are eligible to obtain a Construction Induction White Card.
  • Have or are eligible to obtain the ACMA Open Cabling Registration.
