Stephen Burnhenn

STEPHEN BURNHENN
Board Member

Stephen Burhenn is a Vice President in the Ares Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2012, Burhenn was an investment banking Analyst at Citigroup, where he focused on executing mergers and acquisitions in the metals and mining and healthcare industries. Burhenn currently serves on the Board of Directors of Convergint Technologies and Guitar Center Holdings, Inc. Mr. Burhenn holds a B.A. from Stanford University in Economics.

Matt Cwiertnia

MATT CWIERTNIA
Board Member

Matt Cwiertnia is a partner and co-head of North American Private Equity within Ares Private Equity Group and a member of the Management Committee of Ares Management. He serves as a member of the Ares Private Equity Group’s ACOF and Special Situations Funds Investment Committees. Prior to joining Ares in 2005, Mr. Cwiertnia worked in the Financial Sponsors Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he focused on providing advisory and financing services to financial sponsors and their portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Cwiertnia was a member of the Investment Banking Department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. Cwiertnia holds a B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles in Business Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management.

THOMAS DONOHUE
Board Member

Thomas J. Donohue Jr. is the President and Founder of Adelphi Capital. Over the past decade, Mr. Donohue has built Adelphi’s merchant banking practice and developed the firm’s expertise across several industry sectors, including: transportation, telecommunications and technology, financial services, infrastructure, and national security. In addition to Convergint, Donohue currently serves on the boards of several companies and organizations. These include I Squared Capital, a $3 billion global infrastructure fund; Inventus Power, a leading manufacturer of lithium ion batteries; Orbis Operations, a specialized provider of military training, intelligence, and cybersecurity solutions to military and commercial customers; Express Freight Finance, a commercial lender focused on the transportation industry; American Intermodal Management, a transportation equipment leasing and logistics company; and the National Chamber Foundation, the research arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Donohue is a graduate of Georgetown University.

Greg Lernihan has over 30 years in the electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, and building management systems industry. Lernihan is a Co-Founder and Board Member of Convergint Technologies. Prior to starting Convergint Technologies, Lernihan was the Senior Vice President of Siemens Building Technologies Division for North America. During the span of his career, Lernihan has held positions in sales, general management, and executive management focused on integrated building management systems throughout the United States and Canada. Lernihan holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management from Purdue University.

Dan Moceri has over 40 years of experience in the electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, and building management systems industry. Moceri is a Co-Founder, Executive Chairman and Board Member for Convergint Technologies. Prior to starting Convergint Technologies, Moceri was the President of Siemens Building Technologies Security Division for North America. Moceri has held positions in marketing, engineering, and executive management focused on integrated building management systems throughout the United States and Canada. Moceri holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and a Master’s degree in Management from Northwestern University.

TED NARK
Board Member

Ted Nark joined KRG Capital in 2007 as a Managing Director and has over 27 years of business experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, operations, sales, and marketing. Since 2007 Nark has served as a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee and as a lead Managing Director, Chairman, and a member of the Board of Directors for several of its portfolio companies. Nark was CEO and Chairman of Corporate Express Australia from 1998 to 2002. He served as  CEO and Chairman of White Cap Construction Supply from 2002 to 2006. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County. Nark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington State University.

CHRIS INGLIS
Board Member

Chris Inglis is a Venture Partner at Paladin.  He is the former Deputy Director and senior civilian leader of the National Security Agency. Mr. Inglis’ military career included nine years active service with the US Air Force and twenty one years with the Air National Guard from which he retired as a Brigadier General in 2006. Promoted to NSA’s Senior Executive Service in 1997, he served in a variety of senior leadership assignments culminating in his selection as the NSA Deputy Director. A 1976 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Inglis holds advanced degrees in engineering and computer science from Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and George Washington University.

Ken Lochiatto has over 30 years of business experience having joined Convergint as President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2014. Ken’s background includes over 22 years of experience in the materials and systems integration businesses and 8 years in the gaming business. During the span of his career, Ken has held positions in sales, finance, and executive management with GE and WMS Gaming, having led global businesses in both companies. Ken holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University. 

Abraham Zilkha

ABRAHAM ZILKHA
Board Member

Abraham Zilkha is a Principal in the Ares Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2008,  Zilkha worked for the Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on advising financial services and consumer goods companies in the US and in Canada. Zilkha currently serves on the Board of Directors of Convergint Technologies and Guitar Center Holdings, Inc. Zilkha holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Finance and an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
