Each year in June, Convergint shuts down operations for a full work day in order to allow its colleagues to go into their communities and contribute to those in need. Security Info Watch recently published a feature on Convergint’s efforts this year. Read more about the event below.
“June 9 marked the 15th annual Convergint Social Responsibility Day, where the national security integrator shuts down operations to volunteer in local communities across the country. Convergint Technologies donated one day of payroll equaling $575,000 in addition to many thousands of dollars in work supplies and donations.
In all, 2,345 Convergint employees and family members volunteered at 64 local charitable organizations, including food banks, homeless homes and shelters, military family support organizations, animal shelters, therapeutic groups, ministries, and Boys & Girls Clubs.
While 45 percent of volunteers installed donated security-related systems, others landscaped, filled potholes, served food, sorted clothes, painted, poured concrete, built homes, installed fences – and so much more.”
