Convergint Technologies was built on a solid foundation of Values and Beliefs. These values and beliefs focus on Convergint’s commitment to our customers, our colleagues and their families, and our communities. One of these values – “we believe in balanced lives” – supports our belief that it is important for all of us to balance our time, energy, and commitments across our families, our business, and our communities. This belief empowers us to act generously and responsibly to the people and world around us.

We have created a culture of giving here at Convergint, a culture that we believe is central to our success as an organization. Not only do we give to our local communities all throughout the year, but we also take it to the next level with our yearly Convergint Social Responsibility Day. Each year in June, Convergint shuts down operations for a full work day in order to allow our colleagues to go into their communities and contribute to those in need.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Convergint is dedicated to developing a company culture where leadership and individual colleagues are committed to “making responsible decisions“ to ensure the health and safety of our colleagues, customers, business associates, and the communities in which we operate. We believe that the protection of our environment through appropriate resource and waste management is everyone’s responsibility, ours included. Sustainability by decision-making & company practices should integrate social, economic, and environmental considerations to meet present needs without compromising the needs of future generations.

Health & Safety

Convergint Technologies continually works toward improving our health and safety policies as well as procedures. Management provides the mechanical and physical facilities required for personal health and safety in keeping with the highest standards.

Sustainability

Convergint Technologies was founded on ten Values and Beliefs that have been at the core of our success. These Values and Beliefs are the basis of our corporate identity and form the foundation of our focus on the three pillars of sustainability.

Environment

Convergint monitors our use of fuel, electrical energy, water, paper, and waste products. Our colleagues ensure safe & efficient handling of our products, conserve, and recycle our by-products and minimize our waste. All work site assessment conducted by Convergint colleagues include consideration for surrounding habitat.

Economic

Economic sustainability is about meeting the diverse needs of our customers, business partners and colleagues by providing what they need to grow and develop. By responsibly managing our profitability and delivering unparalleled customer service, as is our mission, we can thereby “deliver results” in a sustainable manner.

SAFETY PROGRAMS

Convergint Technologies’ safety culture is committed to providing the tools, training, and programs so all projects and service calls are completed with zero incidents or injuries. To support this culture and increase safety awareness between all colleagues, we have a dedicated Safety Coordinator in each office under the direction of our National Safety Officer.

Our strong belief in workplace Health and Safety is supported by the following:

  • Written safety and health programs

  • Management’s commitment and expectations of adherence to the program

  • Colleague participation

  • Resources to meet safety and health program requirements

  • Project specific Safety Activity Plans

  • Weekly safety meetings for field supervisors and colleagues

  • Hazard recognition and control

  • Meeting contractor requirements of the OSHA Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals

  • Substance abuse program including pre-employment and random testing

  • Graded and non-graded background checks

Convergint Technologies is qualified with exceptional ratings through ISNetworld, CanQual, Avetta, National Compliance Management Service, PEC/Preimer Safety Management, DISA drug testing consortium and other compliance management services.

Convergint’s Supplier Diversity Program was designed to make it easier for you to make contact with the right people within any of our North American office locations.
