Convergint entered the Austin market in 2007—we’re celebrating our 15th anniversary in 2022. Anyone who’s visited Austin can tell you how exciting the city is—it’s a technology hub that is fueled by diversity of culture, experience, and perspective. It’s thrilling to work in a market that is so focused on innovation. It’s inspiring and a motivation to our entire team.

The Austin team is a reflection of the local community. We’re a vibrant, passionate, people-first team that delivers Convergint’s Values and Beliefs to every customer and colleague relationship—with our own Texas flare, of course!

We’re 55 colleagues strong in Austin with customers across many different vertical markets—the rise of digital transformation has really helped to skyrocket our momentum in the last 2-3 years, and we’re very well-positioned for growth. Our office was one of Convergint’s first 10 CTCs, and our local colleagues have contributed significantly to the development and growth of our key vertical markets—healthcare, data centers, utilities, transportation, and financial.

In 2022, we’re ready to set the market ablaze. That means Austin has open positions and we’re ready to hire new colleagues. We plan to grow by at least 25% next year alone. As a team, we’re so incredibly proud to create jobs and contribute to the local demand for top-notch talent.

We’re also very focused on social responsibility and serving our local community. Our team is very actively engaged in Convergint’s STEP Up program, an initiative focused on improving security in schools. Locally, our team has also supported organizations that fund research for breast cancer, and recently spent Convergint’s 20th annual Social Responsibility Day cleaning up the riverbank of a local park, so that our neighbors could enjoy it. We have cultivated a culture that is centered around making a daily difference and giving back to the community around us.

We tend to work on complex integrations, like security for critical infrastructure, and our colleagues are working in a high-tech, multi-faceted solutions environment. We also do a lot of work in physical security management, fire alarm, and life safety. Our global reach helps provide our local team with the resources needed to deliver top solutions within our community, and our colleagues are supported by a global commitment to growth, development, and unparalleled expertise.

The Austin CTC is a great place for anyone that wants to work with emerging technology and be a part of major digital transformation initiatives. Over the next few years, we’ll continue to scale, expanding our vertical markets and bringing on more colleagues to support our customers. This kind of growth makes me think about one of Convergint’s Values and Beliefs: I am accountable for my continuous development.
