Service Coordinator/Office Manager

Responsibilities: Coordinate all operations activities related to service work and service agreements. Effectively coordinate service work orders by receiving initial request, dispatching, invoicing, and follow-up with customer. Responsibilities: • The successful candidate will be charged with the responsibility for service and field technical support of automated HVAC control systems at one of our client Plant Sites close to Fort McMurray. Installation of new small systems, support of legacy installations and any associated upgrading of the Building Automation and related products is included in the responsibilities. As a member of the Operations team and as the senior technician for the site, good communications and interpersonal skills are critical as is adaptability and a results oriented focus. • Responsible for sustaining all of the Building Automation Systems installed on site. • Assigns and coordinates other members of the team to accomplish the work in an efficient and effective manner. • Reports directly to the Convergint Site Operations Manager to coordinate with the building operator team for training, daily operations, and trouble-shooting. • Assists with installation and commissioning required to implement HVAC control solutions • Provides the required input to complete accurate “as-built” drawings depicting installation details. • Conducts “on the job” or “in -house” training classes for customers and employees alike. • Delivers technical support to end users and field labour when applicable. • Makes recommendations to clients regarding changes, improvements or installation of automation system on basis on own findings in the course of assignments. • Completes and submits written reports covering all aspects of each assignment, including customer, nature of trouble, equipment involved, time and material used. • Creates interoperability between installed BAS systems, Personal Computers, Client Servers, Web connections and other operating systems, as required. • Establishes training, development and supervision requirements for technicians required to support growth strategies for the client’s BAS. • Will work with the other engineering group members to establish an integration platform with a view to supporting our open protocol offerings as well as interfacing to legacy systems. • Holds the key responsibility for maintaining Convergint Technologies as the top service provider on this client’s site.

Security Technician

Responsibilities: -Install, inspect and program Honeywell fire alarm systems. -Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections and installations. -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operational/product manuals. -Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer specifications. -Manager inspection issues on-site to ensure fiscal requirements are met. -Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems. -Provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost effective methods to return equipment to working order.
Preferred Selection: -Experience in Honeywell and Notifier Fire Systems an asset. -Experience in Access Control and CCTV Systems an asset . -Ability to manage large projects accurately and efficiently. -Ability to adapt to changing customer needs. -Ability to read architectural and electrical drawings. -Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary system repairs. -Ability to identify and sell basic product enhancements to customers. -Ability to demonstrate a high level of customer service. -A valid motor vehicle license is required with annual abstract to maintain eligibility. -Demonstrates basic knowledge of electricity/electronics.
