Closing out 2021, Convergint celebrates milestone reinforcing its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its colleague-focused culture.
2021 was a year of tremendous global growth and evolution for Convergint. On June 18th, 2021, Convergint celebrated its 20th anniversary. While the culture that has been foundational to the company’s success remains as strong as ever, the evolution of its global platform and unparalleled service capabilities has accelerated quickly. In order to support Convergint’s long-term vision and commitment to culture, the 20th anniversary celebration served as an opportunity to evolve the company’s guiding Values and Beliefs.
To commemorate the cultural evolution that has taken place over the last 20 years and honor the colleagues who live by these Values and Beliefs every day, Convergint held a company-wide contest allowing colleagues the opportunity to submit ideas for the tenth and final V&B. Out of over 1,000 contest submissions throughout the company, two finalists were selected, and their tagline suggestions combined to create the final tagline:
We promote fun and laughter on a daily basis—committed to fun since 2001.
As a prize for coming up with the winning tagline, each winner was awarded a cash prize. In keeping with Convergint’s commitment to giving back, each contest winner was also awarded $5,000 to be donated on their behalf to a charity of their choice. Below, one contest winner recounts their experience and details how Convergint’s Values and Beliefs have inspired them.
Contest Winner: Aric Dodd
Contest winner Aric Dodd, a Project Manager in Minnesota, was shocked to find out he was selected as one of the winners.
“The wind was taken out of me, it was so unexpected,” said Aric. “With so many submissions, I didn’t see how it was possible to win.”
In Aric’s very first interview with Convergint before becoming a colleague, he was impressed by the Values and Beliefs, and how the culture was deeply ingrained throughout the company. Aric was inspired to enter the contest by the thought of being a part of Convergint history.
“Not a lot of companies do things like this, and I think it is great that Convergint wanted to involve colleagues in such an important part of our culture. The Values and Beliefs are part of Convergint history, and it is an honor to be included in something like this.”

Charity Donation: Ken LaChance Colleague Emergency Fund
Excited about the charitable aspect of the contest, Aric said his first thought upon winning was, “Wouldn’t it be great if I could share this with the company and give back myself?” For that reason, he decided to donate his $5,000 to the Ken LaChance Colleague Emergency Fund. The Ken LaChance Colleague Emergency Fund exists with the mission of helping to support Convergint colleagues affected by economic hardship due to unforeseen emergencies, created in memory of Ken LaChance for his contribution to Convergint and unwavering support of colleagues.
